Did you know medical documentation is a factor in clinician burnout?
Administrative burden is one of many potential root causes of clinician burnout. Scribe documentation assistance can reduce this burden. Other than an Athletic Training student, when would an AT have access to a scribe?
I'll admit, I am not the timeliest in documenting my patient cases.... between hands on manual therapy, teaching and cueing exercises, being at practice or games, taping, hydration preparation, injury (re)evaluations, etc...
When it comes time to physically document cases do you feel a sense of dread, exhaustion, lack of enthusiasm, a decrease in empathy?
There has to be a simpler way document in a timely manner.
While I am currently working in the hospital setting, many of the clinicians use dictation microphones and microphone applications to verbally dictate patient notes. What a great way to be more time-efficient!
Why have our EMR platforms not provided this already established bridge to help us utilize their program more effectively and effectively? Is there a problem with compatibility between these dictation platforms and the sports medicine EMR program? Or did we just not get the memo?
Help take the dread out of documentation!
