For athletic trainers.... It's another reporting year for continuing education. Have you completed all 50 CEs yet?
Did you know that Category D is a less informal way of achieving your CEs? It's not always associated with a quiz or test at the end of the module.

Category D programs can be synchronous or asynchronous and delivered in a variety of methods (i.e.,webinars, conferences, seminars, podcasts, multi-media, grand rounds, journal clubs, employee in-services (excludes orientation), lunch and learns. CE credit is also earned in this category for viewing educational multimedia that requires a completion exam (e.g. videos, DVDs, audiotapes, webinars).
(I know a great podcast if you're looking for recommendations)
Surgery observation may also be earned as CE credit; this activity needs to have educational components with objectives that can be outlined in a letter of verification from the physician. One CE is awarded for each contact hour, so one hour of learning will earn one CE.
How can athletic trainers become more creative in achieving their CEs for a reporting period? The limit does not exist!
